Anyone seen any good deals on meat for super bowl week?

In my area saw boneless half ribeyes for $5.99 lb, Boston butts for $.99 lb, and spare ribs for $1.99 lb.

Was hoping to find a good deal on brisket!

Waiting on the ads. Most places in my area run Thurs-Wed, or Fri-Thurs. Not much in the prior ads. I would love to see Butts for $0.99, I haven't seen less than $1.99 since last spring :(

Z zippy12 he is my go to source for daily specials on meat.. He is like one of the Champion Coupon saver women you see on TV but much better.

Most ours run Wednesday to Tuesday. Usually run butts $.99 lb 3-4 times a year and I try to stock up. Down to my last two in the freezer right now

Completely off topic but y’all got any good recipes for smoked bologna? I picked up 2 5 lb chubs on clearance last weekend but have never done it. Most the threads on here I find are for making bologna

Select or Choice?

Cash N Carry over here has some Select for that price, too.

Kroger’s was trying to sell them for $3.99 lb choice last week...insane. I can go to Costco and get prime for $3.49 lb. Bought a prime there a couple months ago for $2.99

that's some pretty good deals you have going on there

I am currently in Sandy UT, just left WinCo and picked up 2 Tri-Tip for 3.48/lb.
I hope my job is close to done by next Tuesday so I can pick up more to take back home.

I used to just get Select from Cash N Carry when they'd drop 'em down to $2.49, and then I finally bought a Prime from Costco and decided I'd never buy another Select as long as I didn't have to. I'll still get Choice when the price is right, but for a few more cents per lb, Prime really does make a difference.

When my freezer is getting low, I'll use my phone's calendar to make note of "sell or freeze by" dates on the packaging of meats I want to restock. It doesn't always work due to product turnover, but stopping in a day or two before that date I've seen amazing "Price Reduction" price tags that are often 60-80% off the regular price or sale price. I've only passed on one deal because the meat looked sketchy.

I don’t buy much select meat only one store around here sells it. How big a difference in select and choice? Only reason I ask is I scored about a 12 pound whole NY strip roast a couple months ago on a crazy good deal and froze it but it’s select and didn’t even realize till I had gotten it home.
