Another Sunday Butt & Ribs (QView)

Well we're back at it. An absolutely beautiful day. It's nice and cool as well as windy.

Picked up a nice 9lb butt and a big slab of ribs.

Here we are getting the smoker fired up.

Everything is ready to go.

Start the clock, it's 0845.

After starting the butt it was time to put Sir Gary's beans together as well as to whip up a fresh batch of The Honorable Chef JJ's famous finishing sauce. The ribs are just hanging out and being patient while they await their time.

The butt after about an hour or two.

The butt has been on for 5 hours now and the ribs for about 2 hours. The temp on the butt is currently at 171

I apologize Al, once I take it off everything moves so fast. Lol

I never did take a finished pic. But needless to say that by taking your, Gary's, Bearcarver's, Chef JJ's, etc. .. advice, a guy can't go wrong.

I could never thank all of the contributors of this site enough. My family thoroughly enjoyed the results of all of your combined knowledge.

It's not me, it's all of you. All that I do is provided the heat.

The bark on the butt was amazing and by the time that I took the ribs out of the foil they were already falling off of the bone.
