I'm thinkin seriously about picking some up and making head cheese with some of the pork stock I made recently...and some of those brats with lemon zest....

Man I’d lay tracks to the place and show up with some of these to fill!

Wow, the best I've found here in Pennsylvania is $1.39/pound IF you buy an 80 pound case!
I can get butts for $0.99/# pretty regular when there are sales. But been a long time since I've seen them @ $0.69....must be the economy, and the pork supply has caught up at the packing plants from Covid....

That's a dang good price.
Here I thought I got a deal last week at $2.99 lb in my neck of the woods.
Butts had been at $4.99 lb all summer down here.

I got what was supposed to be boneless pork shoulder a couple of weeks ago at 81¢ a pound.
I had to carve out the bone before injecting and starting the wet cure for buckboard bacon.
Wish I could have bought 3, but the freezers need to open for deer hunting next month.
Kids across the street got a (another) chest freezer today. I could have sent a buckboard over there if I knew they found one. Freezers pretty hard to find around here.

69¢ a pound is the best price I've ever seen, at least that I can recall. My freezer is really flush on spares, sausage, steaks, and chicken thighs right now, I'll score a few more butts as soon as I grind up a awkward shaped brisket for burgers We are fully stocked in the freezer and pantry and are expecting another wave of the rotten virus, wife won't let us get below a 150 rolls of toilet paper in reserve.

I picked up 2 double packs of butts this morning, 44# of pork for $27.50. I won't have time to do anything with them until I return from Montana. If I shoot a pronghorn, May use some of the pork to grind with the pronghorn trim meat. Possibly will have some elk too....
