I can't say enough about this product. It is great, and I'm an RF guy !!!    These are not just for watt burners Everybody should have one.

I used mine again yesterday to smoke peanuts. A few days ago I used it in my grill to smoke chicken while I was grilling.

In my RF;  I turn my charcoal basket upside down and sit the AMNPS on top with my bottom abd tops vents wide open, works perfect.

You can remove the basket and sit it in the rack and it works just as well.

On my Grill (Gas Grill)  I have a two burner, I turn one very, very low and the other up on high. After my AMNPS gets going I sit it on the low side and put something under the lid so you have about a 1/2 inch for air flow. Again this works perfect.

There are so many uses and applications for this.

Here are just a few of my AMNPS smokes

I use mine all the time, My wife said "She had better watch me, or I would have that thing going in the Oven"    Hmmmm ?

Gary

Yeah, it a great gadget. I use it all the time, on my gasser for extra smoke, in my smoker to cold smoke, or add extra to a hot smoke, In my weber kettle.... Hmmm???? I'll have to try the oven thing

They're a fantastic little tool.  They make life so simple--once you use them a few times and learn how to keep them lit.  I always dry my pellets for 2 go-rounds of 2 minutes each in the microwave.  The first time I did that, I nuked them twice for 2 1/2 mins apiece--it got real smokey in the microwave before I noticed and took them out.

I like it in my MES and I used it in my mini to cold smoke some cheese.

I love mine, especially when you can get the damn thing lit!
Believe me, nuking them till they're hot works like a charm.  My last smoke, I guessed wrong and had to add pellets part way through the smoke.  I had to relight the added pellets twice, but the first batch that I nuked (til the plate they were on was too hot to hold without a dish cloth) lit and burned GREAT.

Just my $.02 worth, but worth a try

Gary

If I hit the +30 sec button on my microwave, how many minutes should I nuke them for?  I want to do them to the max without burning the house down.

I nuke them for 30 seconds at a clip with a five minute or so resting period. Normally nuke them 4 times. Some folks on here have said that they won't ignite in a nuke box but I can tell you they are wrong....

Like I said, I do mine twice for 2 minutes on high--nothing fancy.  I just get them as hot as possible without doing an indoor smoke.  Miss Linda loves the smell of smoke drifting into the house, but she did comment that smoking INSIDE the microwave was a bit much  LOL

Depends on the size of your nuke r and the contents of the pellets. Try one minute. If they're smoking, do the next batch at 45 seconds. It the didn't smoke, try 1 1/2 minutes. Make sure to spread them out on the plate. Takes me three plate full to fill my tray, and I use 45 seconds.

I guess I've been lucky. My pellets stay in the bags they came in. And sit in the garage. Never nuked them, always start pretty quick. Never have to re-light.

Me too.  I still have an unopened bag of Dust in the delivery box yet. A couple years old.

Once I open the bag, I use what I need & put the rest in my Screw-top juice jugs.

Never Nuked a pellet yet.

I'm the same. No nuking. I've had an open bag in the garage for over a year. Load up the AMNPS, squirt some Hand sanitizer on it at one end, light it up and walk away. 10-15 min later flame goes out all by it self and the AMNPS just smokes away.

On the west coast of Florida, it does make a difference. I did a quick smoke the other night of drumsticks and fish and I used an unopened bag of maple pellets I got from Todd last week. Didn't nuke and had to relight three times. I did find out that dumping some into the MES through the chip tube puts out LOTS of smoke, but it doesn't last long -- at least with the loading tube left half way out.

It's very humid up here in Mass too.  Geez I wonder if that's why I've been having an issue.  It's always above 50% and closer to 90% when rain is incoming.  They day's I've smoked when it's raining have all failed.
