All The Cool Cats In My Neighborhood Spent....

... three hours this afternoon circling through my front yard and driveway while I was smoking some steelhead. For fish, I generally set up my vintage Big Chief box smoker in the shade, and out of the wind, with the top blocked open... and the smoke lingers. Here is the bounty they were attracted to. Tomorrow, they will be back to stalking squirrels and birds.

Yep... Lake Sam's... It's really close to town, plenty of parking, they sell pizza and liquor. I'm kind of grateful... Our snowpack is at a historic low, all bodies of water are predicted to be in jeopardy. Flaming Gorge Reservoir on the Wyoming/Utah border might have to give up 30% if their water to feed Lake Powell,

Eric is right about that , we live on the ocean and when I want Halibut or Sword, I have to let others do the catching , as I just don't seem to find them yet while I am out there YET, lol
But I keep trying

Steelhead is a great tasting fish. Get some a give it a rip Rich. I used to catch them, now I just buy them...

Hmmm, don't have a clue on that one. I use Imgur for hosting.

Unfortunately I can't seem to bite for less than $200 when I visit Lake Sam's. Perhaps if I'd just stick to the fish I might do better.
