Tank
Been toying with one of these lately. Not really for the IR fighting capability, just seems like a fun RC that I've never experienced. Anyone have experience with RC tanks?

At least they stay put.
Here’s my “stay put” hobby.

RC cars/trucks/planes would be fun, but if I crash a beer, at least I don’t need to replace expensive equipment. Ingredients are fairly cheap.
Smoking equipment cuts into the brewing budget at times too.
But it’s all good. We all have things that we enjoy spending our hard earned cash on.

No. But I've thought about it many times.

There are 3 levels of craft brew hobbyist. The first is similar to most smoker/bbq hobbyists here, and looks like the first pic. The second is more rational, and looks like the second pic. The third is the low-end, but still very capable brewer, and looks like the third pic.

I represent the 3rd pic, and have been doing it since 2007, using a 15 cf chest freezer with external temp control for my fermentation/conditioning chamber. I used to do a fancy draft system, but now bottle off in 2 liter soda bottles.

This philosophy goes along with my single lp gas grill and single electric smoker.

I've wanted to try one of these for ages. Especially while I was in the service. I pulled the trigger, pun intended, on this one.

Among my other hobbies. I once had a nice collection of RC vehicles. Nitro, gas, and electric.
The other day I got to looking at some small 4x4 to bash around the camp.

1/18 scale Granite grom. I'm going to do some upgrades. First will be swapping to a brushless motor to give it more power. It's pretty peppy already.
Sweet, going back about 15 years I had a collection of Traxxas T-Maxx trucks, 4x4 nitro, insane little things. Big enough to run right up a curb no issue, 55+ mph. Sometimes I regret giving it all to one of my nephews but that hobby cost more in time and money than smoking meat between upgrades, repairs, etc. Fun as can be though, I do miss it, this is a stock photo but I'll see if I can dig up some old photos.

Steve H, couldn't wait for your review, been waffling on this for too long so pulled the trigger. My wife thought it looked pretty cool as well! Win!

I ordered the Red motor 390 upgrade for mine. Gives it more torque and speed. I'm more interested in more grunt than speed though.

Likewise, although upgrades are always good, and always a dangerous rabbit hole!

Hadn’t thought about my gas Associated MGT? truck in a while. Packed it up when I moved 5 years ago. I think I will get it out and see what it needs to be able to run it. I know it’s going to need a new receiver battery at a minimum. I used to race RC cars at club events once a month many years ago. I know from experience that it can be a big rabbit hole to go down when you are “upgrading” your vehicles. I recommend buying a “name brand” if you’re interested in buying one. Generally speaking more available parts and upgrades for them. If you’re running them you will need parts sooner or later and if you can’t find them you are out of luck. Thanks for enabling me today 🤣

Ran the tank around for a bit before heading to the camp. This tank is way cool!

I agree, nice detail and the smoke function is far more impressive than I expected. Haven't insta the red upgrade motors yet but it's impressive right out of the box.
