#2 son is home from school for Christmas and wanted a snack

Our youngest is home for the Holidays! :yahoo:

We got him home around 11 tonight and the first thing he asked for was a snack. I opened the frig and he started pulling stuff out.

Summer sausage, pepperoni sriracha snack sticks, Kabanosy snack sticks, and some smoked cheese.

While he's down, we plan to smoke some meats and make some sausages and sticks! Stay tuned!

Actually Dave, I'm lucky to have a kid that wants to help restock the frig!  Several of my friends have kids that have no interest what so ever in learning about cooking, preserving, or anything else in the kitchen.

Most all of the stuff I've made to date has been gifted to family or brought in to my employees.  I'm actually running low!  Glad I have some help in town for a while.

Thanks everyone! 

Sorry for the late replies all.  We had some SERIOUS weather in our area and I've been busy.  We didn't suffer any damage, but we had some friends that had quite a bit.

Adoptions will be put on hold for now...  We have a friend and her 2 kiddos staying with us until her house is repaired.  They are too young to make sausage, but they sure can put it away!

Glad you didn't have any damage. Hope your friends home gets repaired quickly. Homes can be fixed, people not so easily.
On a positive note, the more those kids eat, the more smoking you'll have to do to restock.
