Finally took some advice and picked up a vortex for my kettle. All I can say is damn!! I should have done this sooner!!!! Picked up some wings and threw them on the Weber with some apple wood. Cooked them and and covered them in a sauce I found online and boy were they tasty!! Enjoy the Q view folks!! These turned out great!!

Some fine lookin' yardbird there, love the Vortex, Like! I got away from wings and went to legs, less $$$ for more meat, yummy stuff!

Looks perfect. I have a vortex for my kettle but haven't used it yet. I need to give it a go

WHAT! Come on Jake, the Vortex is one of the best tools in the box, you'll love it! RAY

Talk to me about these Vortex things, please.
Why do I need one?

I've always just used an old #10 tomato sauce can that I punched the bottom out of, it gets crazy hot.

Thanks.
Dan

Those look fantastic. Very nice job Adam. After all the reading I've done here, you'll find tons of things to do with the vortex.

Great job on them wings! Looks good!

Looks great! Why am I thinking of firing up my grill all the sudden?

Sometimes the calling is strong. Fire it up

Same concept. The cone shape allows for more coals would be the only difference I can think of.
