Hey all,

Sorry again to be so hit and miss around here as of late… work and fam stuff has just been taking the majority of my time lately!

So, just a question for you all that have the Weber Kettle grates built for the vortex. Wondering which one you chose and how it has worked for you! I am in need of replacing my stock grate at some point due to the center is in pretty rough shape from the heat the vortex puts out!

Went to look them up and seems there are quite a few out there.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, much appreciated!

Didn't know Vortex made grates. I have the Weber with removable center currently $59, but If I needed to replace it, the $99 heavy duty from Vortex looks very nice.

I either use the Weber gourmet grate or a cheap throw away grate. The cheap throw away has lasted much longer than I originally anticipated. Sure it's seen better times especially in the center portion, but around the outside where I put the meats the plating is still there. Going on two years with the cheap grate.

Yeah been looking at getting a different grate for my kettle also. The center is starting to look a little rough from the vortex! And there a hundred different versions on amazon.

Yea Jim,

I also was looking on Amazon but it is hard to make a decision as far a quality is concerned.
Decision making regarding price is easy. . .LOL!

Maybe someone can help us out.

I was looking at the one with removable center.. but also has the 2 outside grates that open for charcoal and wood placement when doing indirect cooking ...
