Usually I smoke my wings in my Loaded Wichita. Getting too much to have fire up that big boy just for a small amount of wings. So after doing some reading on here, as well as some youtube watching, I decided to go ahead and purchase the vortex for my weber kettle. Boy was I impressed!! Took less than half the time and the skin...oh the skin...came out GREAT! Threw a couple chunks on it, one pecan and one apple. Did some with just my sweet dry rub and the other was my sweet dry rub and spun them in my hot wing sauce. Only took about 45 min to get to 200 internal. I flipped them once after about 20 minutes then took another 20 to finish off. They weren't lacking smoke flavor at all. Went ahead and dipped those bad boys in my homemade blue cheese dressing and WOW GREATNESS!! Last pic is just a little sweet treat to satisfy my sweet tooth! Whipped up some fried Oreo. This weekend was suppose to be our town fair. So had to make something “fair-ish”. Love the forum and the info you guys put on here.
