15lb boston butt.. smoke whole or half

Would there be any difference in smoking a 15lb boston butt whole or cut in half? I know its roughly about 1.5 hrs per lb. when smoking. Would cutting it in half cut down on any time or not that big of a deal? Im just trying to get an idea what time to start tomorrow. I usually do 7 or 8 lbs. Thanks for any info, pro's or con's. :)

It will be quicker to do 2 smaller butts than 1 large butt.

Thats one huge butt. Never heard of one that big. You sure it aint the whole shoulder! Ya got a pic of that thing?

Actually... yea it says whole shoulder, boston butt conv. It is 15lbs though.
