100 lb. Tank to a gas burner

I have a northern tool burner that I want to hook up a 100lb tank to, is there anything special I need? I currently have a 20lb tank run to it, but I'm going to need a longer hose to reach the 100 lb tank. I'm thinking a 10-12' piece. Do I need a regulator on it? I believe it would have to be a low pressure regulator.
