Yup, that’s exactly what I made. Jokes aside, what I made today was a Swedish specialty called ”Stekt fläsk med raggmunk” which actually means what the title says if translated word by word but what it really means is pork belly strips with potato pancake. Let’s begin!
Cut the pork belly into strips and seasoned.

Put them on the grill around the vortex instead of the traditional frying pan. Don’t forget to put the skin on there too!

400* for 1h, turning the lid every 15min.

Meanwhile, made a classic onion sauce!

And then the hairy monk 😁

And the finished plate.

Thanks for watching!

I think it looks really good! So can I get more fried pork and onion sauce to cover up my hairy monk please? Lol.
Can you explain what's all in the onion sauce? We love anything onion related.

I usually don’t cover things in sauce like that but in this meal all three components compliment each other. You really want a little bit of each in every bite.

Onion sauce:
Melt butter in pot
Add finely chopped onion and garlic until glossy
Throw a tablespoon or two of flour in there to coat the onion
Add a cup of cream or milk
Add a little bit of beef bouillon and onion powder to taste
Whisk over heat until thickened
Done
