This cold smoke generator is made out of electrical parts...
from bottom to the top:
1. 4 inch RAB junction box
2. 2 1/2" x 12" rigid conduit
3. 2 1/2" rigid conduit nipple
4. 2 1/2" to 1/2" reducer
5. 1/2" T
6. 1/2" X 6" rigid conduit
7. 1/4" stainless pipe
8. small aquarium pump...

What type of metal are those conduit pieces made of?

Looks great!
My only concern would be the galvanizing inside the 2 1/2" X 12" nipple. It might burn off when the wood is burning inside it.

I would try to stay away from galvanized when potential high temperatures may be applied. That is why I was asking. Looks like a nicely functional unit.

yes, that was my concern to so I used stainless steel nipple....

small 1/4" tubing is connected to small aquarium air pump....

In these smoke generators, the small tubing and Aquarium Pump act as a vortex to help draw the smoke up and pump it out.

Looks Great !!
Is it easy to regulate the density of smoke.
Many generators put out too heavy a smoke & are hard to control.

yes... aquarium pump with air flow regulator or small inline valve...also there is four holes at the base that can be pluged to restrict air draft going in to cylinder...
