Thanks! Only way to have it in my opinion!SOS looks great Steve, especially with all the pepper!!
Long story short, but at my first duty station I met this salty old First Class that put hot sauce and copious amounts of black pepper on everything he ate. I asked him one day at the galley, and he said something like "once you eat boat food you'll understand it can't taste bad if its covered in pepper and tabasco". Good times... good times. Thanks! Not just boat food. If you ever had a C-ration. You'd know the reason behind hot sauce!!Long story short, but at my first duty station I met this salty old First Class that put hot sauce and copious amounts of black pepper on everything he ate. Never heard of that before. Sounds interesting!Out here on the west coast my grandmother made SOS using tuna on Wonder bread toast. Had it for breakfast just about every morning before heading off to school.
Story: Every fall grandpa would bring home a whole tuna and grandma would spend a week canning it. They'd put 10 or so cases of pint jars in the shed. The whole place would smell like tuna fish for weeks after she was done canning it.
Lol! Yeah. The true SOS IMHO!We had it for supper , but used ground beef ( not trying to get that started ) open face on buttered toast . Heavy on the black pepper .
I like it . Haven't had it in years .
