My traeger BBQ075 is probably 10+ years old. I just ordered a new burn pot for the second time. It has been having trouble reaching max temp. for quite some time. I think it's time for some upgrades. I've been looking at a Savannah Stoker controller, but I read it works more like an oven and won't produce as much smoke. So I'm not sure a PID controller is what I want! Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the SS on my Traeger and it works fine. It holds temp within 5 degrees using the original temp probe. I did verify temps with a stand alone probe. As far as smoke, I don't see any difference than with the original controller. I run mine anywhere from 220 to 275
