Okay so first off I believe now that cleaning a smoker messes with its mojo. Someone told me not to clean it and I did it anyway.

I got a smoker 20070311 for 25 bucks this past week. (Also found a 20070411 that a friend got for 50). Anywho, i cleaned the walls a tad and the racks.

My biggest mistake is probably going to be that I didnt let the inside dry all the way before plugging it up and running it ? I dont know.

I plugged it up right after cleaning. It was smoking of course with the water in there, but there was definetly heat. It then tripped my breaker after about 5 minutes and since then I cant get it to heat.

I took back panel off and it looks pretty good. In guessing element problems but if there are any other ideas. I am all ears.

Don't use water to clean an electric smoker . Did you hose it out ? You have water going to ground . Let it sit with the door open , give it some time to dry out . Put a block of wood or something under the bottom at the back of the smoker , so it leans forward .

Yea I did. I have always hosed my smokers out when through with cooking. Oops. I did as said. I'll leave it out overnight with the door open. It's now leaning forward. Hope this solves it.
