How often do I add wood chips to my MES40?

Welcome to the forum!

Your going to have to add chips every 30-45 minutes.

When it stops smoking, just add a little more.

Or you could do what most of the MES guys do & buy a AMAZEN tray or tube.

With the tray you will get 8-10 hours of nice smoke without adding anything.

And if you like more smoke fast get the Masterbuilt cold smoker attachment for around $60. It will smoke for around 6 hours or more if you use dry chips, get them smoking, open the ash drawer a little and turn the element off. Here is what one looks like.

They don't cost as much as this one lists for. I have seen them for $49.95.
