My smoking this winter is going to be real limited--again--just like last winter.

I'm leaving this morning and will be spending the winter in Ft. Assiniboine hauling logs.  Probably be 3 weeks in and a short weekend home.  This should last til about the end of March.

Can't really take my MES with me as I'll be staying at a motel.

So.......post lots of qviews so I can at least get a quick fix.

Sorry to hear, Gary...sometimes life gets in the way!  A long, cold winter in the Great White North with no BBQ seems like cruel and unusual punishment!

Be safe, Gary. You're one of those who realises that making a living trumps having fun all the time. I'm guessing you're over 30. For what it's worth, a lot of us are winding down the smoking for the winter (except for those Texas & Louisiana boys [emoji]128521[/emoji]).
Ok, exactly where is Ft Assinboine?

Build a mini. Take it with ya.

Be safe out there.

Well.... That stinks.  I feel your pain brother.  By the end of the year I'll have ridden 122 time on an airplane and spent 90 night in a hotel at God Know where....  Making al living gets in the way of the things we love. ...Like family and smoking. b

Have a safe and fun time! Maybe you can pick up some wood for yourself and get another smoker!

If you're staying at a motel long-term, get to know the manager and see if they will let you keep a small smoker on site somewhere where it won't be a saftey hazard. Some places I've stayed also have their own grill for guest to use.....just need to get creative! Good luck and stay warm.

I had a funny episode last summer, staying in a "smoke-free" hotel. There was a weber kettle clone on the grounds and I thought it belonged to the facility. The guys replacing a gas line made me move it off to run it. Then it turned out to belong to another guest, who wondered were it went off to.

Too bad the work thing has to get in the way of Q, should be laws against that !

Be safe Gary !
