The wind is hardly a problem anymore at my house, since I built a smokin hut out back.

I wanted to build it out of wood fence panels, but money is in short supply right now.So I guess used my thunkin skills instead!
The panels are called pallet slips, attached to steel fence posts driven into the ground.A few hinges and a latch ...

I am green with envy , what a nice unit that is.

Last summer I bought $380 worth of cedar fencing and some cedar 2x4s.

I was away for 3 days when I came back I discovered that at my wife's request my Brother in law used it all to replace the back fence. AND BURNT THE OLD FENCING that I was going to use to make a smoker shed with.

So now I am at the mercy of the wind.

built all this to take care of any wind problem.
but i forgot when mama gets steamed there is way to much wind & hot air to get a handle on.
dont tell her that.

See all the work we do just to feed our families and friends. Good job on the shed. I like the pallet idea nice and strong.

Nope! just play dogs. They are my side kicks, and I mean literally "at my side",under my feet, behind me...all the time. But I love em'! From left to right they are Buddy,Cinnamon,& Piggy(My daughter is pig crazy, but this is as close to the real thing as she is gonna get.).

yep...started with a propane burner, but was having trouble with the flame burning too big and orange. some times even going out.....whoa dangerous! I just switched to an electric hot plate to make the smoke. sooo much easier. I'll just have to see how long it lasts.
