Good year for Mustang Grapes. Picked about 3 gallons.

Into the pot with 1/2 cup water. Let steam about 20 minutes than smash. Note to self, Get a bigger masher.

Stain out solids. Than put solids into a hopping bag and squeeze out rest of juice.

Into the brewing bag to sit until tomorrow. Man is that stuff thick. Really need a coarser bag for this. Color is beautiful! Have hooks on ceiling from holding those big bags of cooked corn.

Next will refrigerate to remove the tartaric acid. It will go to the bottom than pour juice out leaving it on the bottom. After that I will freeze juice to make jelly. That jelly is so good. Giving some vinegar a try.

And ready for the overnight rest in fridge for the tartaric acid to settle to the bottom. Seems like a lot of work but once you taste the jam its all worth it. I make it sugarfree.

Well got it done! The flavor of Mustang grapes is so good! Nothing else like it. I used 1/4 cup sugar per cup juice. It could be a little sweeter. I may try more next next but the flavor is there.
