Hello everyone...I was recently viven 2 wild boar hams to smoke..question is: do I want to inject them or put rub on or just smoke??

Hello Penny.

When you say hams, are they cured hams or are they the "green" uncured shoulder/hip/leg cuts?

If they are green, you can prep and smoke them like you would a large bone in butt, but it will taste like pork roast and not ham.

If they have been cured, a hot smoke to the internal temperature you want will work out fine.

Hi Penny.

Are you trying to make smoked ham or are you going for something like a smoked pork roast for something like pulled pork bbq?

I'm not sure I can give much advice but I hunt and when I get 20 pounds of wild game hams I plan to make smoked ham with them using a ham kit I have just itching to be used :)
