White Perch vs Yellow Perch Taste?

I getting ready to place another Walleye Direct order. I fell in love with the Bluegill. Wish I could buy something local that taste like it. I need to order more to get the shipping. Wish they had dressed smelt in stock. They have whole but I not going there. I love yellow perch but it just to $$. They have some bread Lake Perch which I assume is the white perch. Not sure what that is? Maybe something like Sand bass? Have any of you Northerners ate it?

Not a fan of white perch. Much stronger taste nothing like the sweet meat of yellow perch.

They are not related. White perch can tolerate brackish water and are omnivorous related more to bass. Yellow perch are carnivorous larger and have a sweet, delicate flavor.

Love the double headers fishing minnows just off the bottom. Lake Erie Islands area.

I really miss the fish when living in Michigan. There is just no store bought fish that compares. They getting about $40 a pound for yellow perch right now.

White perch are considered an invasive species here in ks, word has it the kdwp ordered wiper and the vendor was short so topped it off with white perch. I have eaten them kind of across of white bass and crappie if you take the blood line out like you would striper. Again this at several of our lakes not sure what it would be like ordering them
