Everything:D the info here is unreal! Love this forum

Oh, I know that but I need to know where to go when I have a question or want to show off something I did! Nothing happening on AT so this is where I go!

I think Jeff programmed AL with a tickler, that alerts every 4-5th post which keys the response. Key words were programmed IE pork butt, St Louis, Brisket, Beer can Chicken, etc that dictated what phrase to reply. Unfortunately I hit a lot of the key phrases right now and will most likely get a response.

General section and blowing smoke section are a good general area to post stuff

It's best to post in whatever section the post best fits otherwise a moderator may have to move it to the proper section.
My guess is Al like many of us look at all the new posts

I'm wondering which section gets the most activity. It seems Al sees EVERYTHING, lol, but I would like to know which is the most popular.

Just post in the forum that best describes what your smoking or asking info about. Most people I believe use the recent link at the top of the page to see the latest activity. Some people like Al respond to most all threads while others respond to things that interest them or that their knowledgeable in.

I move most misplaced posts to the correct forums to maintain the integrity of the forum. The best place to post is in the section it pertains to. For example, if you are having a problem with your charcoal-fueled smoker, post it in Charcoal Smokers. If it's about chicken thighs, post it in Poultry. If it is about how to maintain temps in an electric smoker, post it in Electric smokers, but if it's about doing a beef brisket in a propane smoker, put it in Beef.

Why? Because, the most forum help is found in those specific areas. People who smoke a lot of beef, or pork, or chicken, etc., frequent those areas and are always wanting to help newer smokers with their opportunities and challenges! Posting everything in General Discussion makes all other areas in the forum invalid until they are put where they belong; like filing everything for a company under G for General instead of E for Electrical, S for Services, P for Products, etc. Otherwise, why have different sections?

And, when searching for something, if you go to Lamb for roasting a leg of lamb, that is where you most likely will find it.

BTW, are you talking about SmokinAl? he's a real person, not an AI program subroutine.
Very nice guy at that. Helpful too. Was just joking around with respect to My answer

Thanks for the info and yes, I was referring to SmokinAl. In my short time here I’ve noticed he responds to just about everything and it is very cool!
