Got it prior to getting the BGE. Cooks well. Showing it's age, but still very useable. Have not cooked on it since early 09. Was going to haul it up front and put it near my cooking area. Opened it up to find a birds nest and eggs. Left it. Couple weeks later opened it up to find a pair of snakes in it. Got rid of them. Left the open. Needed a good cleaning prior to the nest/snakes. Hmmm.....

Id leave it where it is and see what ya get next. Its like an ecology experiment)

I use mine as my smoker!  it retains heat much better than the cheap offeset smoker I got at the hardware store.  I use an a-maze-n pellet smoker placed on the heat shield (only 1 side needs to be on the other just sits there and holds the pellet tray) this gives me easy temp control and decent smoke for smaller cooks.

Just throwing my $0.02 out there :)

Thanks for the idea....May clean it out and give it a try....

I agree with robcava, leave it be and hopefully you'll find a deer or moose in it next time!  At worse, a hog or steer?
at worst a hog or Steer?  I think the at best it's a hog or steer, or at least a part of one :D

Have only seen 1 moose out here since 08. Used to be a moose that passed thru the area few times a year. Few years back she was passing thru with her baby...one of the local idiots seen it in her yard and let her little dog out...moose stomped it to death...She called Game and Fish, they came and shot Momma. The baby camped out in a neighbors yard for several weeks. Sam fed her several times a day. She was hanging around in the pen with the cow he had at the time. Sam came home from work one day and she was gone...

I forgot to mention the water / drippings tray.  I use an aluminium bread pan could be anything I guess but watch your humidity as it can choke the burning of the pellets and diminish or extinguish combustion all together I find a large mass can help keep the temps low in the bbq.  When I top up I add cold water to continue to pull heat.

it gets placed under the grill on the heat shield, on the side that is turned on.
