well the smoker is long overdue for a warming. been busy lately with yard work round home and getting ready to head back to work monday. man im glad. construction is slow here. lucky to be working at all.

anyways heres a piece i just finished for my cousin. my first for each species. turned out great.

also just done this bird for my shop. he was practice. hes not the best looking bird for a wall as he is missing a couple tail feathers but practice on birds is what i was looking for. still has carding on winds and tail untill it dries up a bit.

couple of the whitetails i did in 2010

Around here, we have a lot more cardboard than Pheasants. When I was a kid, they were all over the place ----- Right after the Dinosaurs left.

the yote form had wire pre ran through the front legs and out paw for attaching game. so i ran the leading paw up into the rump of the bird under the tail feathers. it completely invisible unless you lay down under it and move feathers.

thanks for all the comments.

pheasents are pretty common round here. not a ton of hunters in my area. most are killed by cars and yotes i assume. turkeys were the rareity, but thanks to conservation efforts there actually making a come back in this area. they have released some over the years and there starting to be seen more and more.

even seen my first real wild bald eagle a few months back. went to the mississippi river by marblehead clos to quincy in feb to make a cigarette run for cuz. seen one on some prey in a field. bout crapped my levis lol. i had no idea they were this close to central il. seems they had released several pair allong the mississippi. now there pretty common there. seems they have even made there way allong the illinois river up to peoria illinois.

only an hour from central il.
