I am old enough myself and have heard all the legends about how you can view it.

Since I just watched it I can't imagine watching it in an altered state would make much of a difference on the overall experience of the movie. Yeah maybe the animated parts may make you lose your shit but the overall experience was nothing special.

The best part was the Another brick in the wall which has been a treasure shown again and again. The rest of the movie was aaah OK. Nice to see but not that special.

Lucky for the world they have so many other great songs and videos that we can all enjoy.

There's changes coming to the streaming world.

Some time between now and football season, ESPN is suppose to launch an app that will have all their content. It will cost $30 a month. And Fox Sports will launch a similar app in a similar price range.

This changes everything for me. I'm a YouTube TV subscriber for one reason, college football. I won't need it any more at $83 a month.

And this could very well take its place at $7 a month, if we need another service, period.

YT TV has 24% of the live market, and Frndly is at 7%.

Since Netflix is relatively new in this household, Mrs Okie and I are just now enjoying The Kominsky Method. It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud at a TV show, but this one does it.

Haven’t watched much lately, but that’s on my list. Do you need to watch Bosch first?

A friend told me Duane Allman Song of the South doc is out now too.
It is so loosely connected to Bosch I wouldn't see an issue watching it first. That said Bosch is a great show with 7 seasons plus an essentially season 8 called Bosch Legacy

"Nobody" is one of my guilty pleasure movies. I'm going to rewatch it on Prime because "Nobody 2" is hitting the theaters on August 15th.

My wife is a history nut, and we just finished binging "The Sandman" on Netflix. It is a British production that fictionalizes mythology into a timeless story. It's based on a comic book series. 1st season was good; 2nd season was better. Both seasons were so well acted and cast.

I'll have to give that show a second chance. I am watching Earth Abides on MGM+. Really good but short series with only 6 episodes. Trying to maximize my free 7 day trial but have found enough to pay a month to binge some other stuff before cancelling.

I kinda forced my way thru season 1 of The Sandman because I had no idea what was going on. My wife had zero interest. THEN, season 2 came on, and suddenly Season 1 made sense from just the first two episodes of the second season. We went back and watched all of Season 1 with renewed interest and appreciation, finishing with a "Wow" grade for everything.
