Has anyone used this heating element until they get a concrete plan of their smoker down pat?  Seems like it would work well being that its adjustable in temp range. Thanks

you can use it, but keep in mind the thickness of the walls in a fridge are more than 1 1/4", that means if you use this element the control will be inside the wall. You will have to build a box into the wall that the plug will fit in and allow you to adjust the temp. Not a convenient set up, more work than it is worth.
