I've had my 22in Kettle for about a year now. I'm loving it. Thinking about adding another to the stable. For those that have the 26in is it worth the extra money over another 22in?

It’s definitely big. I love mine. I have a 22” kettle and the 26”. I use to have the 22” WSM But sold that for the 26” kettle. It’s a lot easier to use/clean than the WSM. I still use my 22” kettle a lot especially for when I use my vortex but I definitely love the 26”. Only think I don’t like about it, is the cover that came with it seems too short for it

Go big or go home!
I would love to have the big kettle, but I have so many smokers & grills now I would have to sell 1 or 2 to make room. If I had the space there would be one on my patio right now!!

Looked at the Weber Ranch. That thing is huge! But at $1600 I just cant justify it. Thinking I may have to make a little room and slide a 26 inch onto the patio if I can catch the wife not looking.

Jim,
Just do it!
Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness than get permission.
I wish I had picked up a 22" Kettle before prices went up.

I have had knock off kettles before. My first real Weber is the 26". for large family gatherings its great! Use a few bricks and you can hot sear one side, smoke indirect on the other. If you get one be sure to get a Vortex. Cajun Bandit makes a great rotisserie accessory. Spin a bird, prime rib, spares. I do like mine. I coukd never get the hang of long smokes on it, a bit leaky. But still a great grill.

I'm the same as you Jim, except my wife won't care...maybe look at me and shake her head lol! But would love the 26 for all the room. My 22 fills up so fast (and it's just a cheap knock off) so not much temp control. Don't suppose they have a buy one get one free do they! :emoji_blush:

Jim, I have two 22" Webers, but was thinking a 26" would be nice. I'm just mostly undecided which one to get between the Weber and the SnS...

I am with you on that, SmokinAl ... and I feel your pain.... :emoji_disappointed: I wish I could add this Weber 26" kettle to my arsenal but my backyard is so tiny... :emoji_disappointed_relieved:

Well done Jim :emoji_wink: you knew what this group of enablers was going to tell you. Now all you have to do is get the wife to look at the thread to show her how all the members say you need that smoker. I mean you must really need it not one member has said you don't need it. :emoji_laughing:
It's hard to believe how ill equipped we all seem to be when we join. It's sure a good thing our forum brothers and sisters are here to guide us and help lead us to what we "really need" in order to take our families food to the next level. 🤣

And hopefully that next level is not to the dog house!
