Mrs C and Me took some “va-ca” time together to have some warmer weather….
With the early warm weather we took a chance that some run off would be happening and surprise water was flowing…this is a rare thing at these falls….if you look for peps in the pics you can see the scale of these falls….
So after an epic hike and water falls experience, it was time for dinner! The waygu & heirloom…..
The marrow and manes…..man oh man…. I will admit…. This is an ambitious cook in a camper….
Seasoned the bone with olive and SPOG….
So this went in the electric convection roast oven in the trailer….this was a first time use of it…..375 for 20 mins……Ie till its bubbling…..
While the bone was roasting the ribeye went on a skillet on mid high…..
Flipped and added some onion slices with SPOG with the waygu rendering…..
Flip again….oh man me getting a smile…
Pulled the ribeye to rest and then the lion manes into the waygu rendering with some S&P….getting them toasty so they have a crisp…
Time to get the plates ready…….
The heirloom burrata salad with some balsamic glaze thyme and roasted pistachios…
The bone and crostini’s…… flavor explosion!!!
And finally the ribeye, manes and onion….
Not my usual pics but hey natural sun is what the va-ca was about so bamb bamb this was money!!!! This is living in my book!
