Been wanting something heavy duty to puree meat for hot dogs..... Any one have any suggestions... Was looking at the vitamix or the ninja but prefer to go commercial with a small unit...

I just called the folks at Blendtec. They have an amazingly strong blender that we use for all kinds of things including making dough. They confirmed that you can puree meat with the unit using the pulse program.  If anyone is looking for a top of the line blender this is the one. Costco has it on line cheaper than anywhere else I have found

I'll second the Blendtec. I got one about a couple years ago, and have pureed meat several times.

Call or check their web site to see if they have any reconditioned units for sale. I was about to buy one at Costco when I learned that Blendtec had a sale on reconditioned units. The package I got included the 4 sided and 5 sided (Wildside) container that retailed for $525. Reconditioned, it was $250. At the time the warranty for a new unit was 5 years. For the reconditioned unit it was 10 years. Obviously, I jumped on it. I don't know what they reconditioned, if anything, but it arrived and appeared as a new unit. I use it frequently for some heavy duty work with zero problems.

That looks like a good one ! When I turn mine on for awhile it smells like burning rubber...

No matter what you get it would be better to get something with a variable speed or a high and low speed that way you can replicate/mimic a buffalo chopper
