Ok I know many people already know the Weber kettle is capable of a lot of things but third party R&D for it has been amazing. My Weber kettle is a smoker, BBQ grill, a wok, a pizza oven, a Santa Maria grill, a broiler, and a rotisserie roaster. I really don't know what to say other than these really are worth it to have. I use it more than any other smoker of grill that I own bar none. I even have some 3/16 and 1/4 inch thick smoker and bbq's.

I too love my Weber kettle. I have used them fro probably 35-40 years and I think we can safely say I have it mastered. My friends call me the grill master. I have 4 of them and it's nothing for me to have all of them fired up doing different things while my friends and I are throwing back a few cold ones. I am wondering...can I modify one of them to make it into a rotisserie? I am just wondering if anyone of you folks have done that.

Cajun bandit makes a ring and you can get the rest of the stuff from them as well.
There is a ribolator added in one of my pics also.

Cajun wants too much.....get a Gabby's Santa Maria attachment with the upgraded rotisserie.

true but it does twice the options with the santa maria addition

I like both....but the WSM is not needed for me as I have smokers. But I know a few people that can make the most awesome meats in them. However due to price and value, you can get a Pit Barrel cooker for the same price. I would be torn myself.

Here is the real value....you can pick one of these kettles up used for probably around 20 bucks. What can you cook for under 30 dollars?! Anything you want! I just got my Pizza Que recently....never had pizza so good!

I had a WSM 18" but sold it few years ago. Takes up too much space in the RV and its just me and wife so no need for larger smokers anymore.

I think i just made up my mind WSM or Kettle

Kettle for me.

With the 14" WSM you get the best of both worlds. Not to mention the footprint is less than a kettle. If I wanted to pack a kettle into my camp I'd have to disassemble and reassemble it every time. Or I'd have to leave the legs at home.
