vacuum sealer suggestions.

Does anyone have any sugestions on a decently priced vacuum sealer for freezing sausages?

I love my VacMaster Pro 260, would love to have a chamber but out of my price point for now.  I've had the 260 for over a year now and really use it a lot, no issues

Years ago I was going to the Food saver.  I was at sears  and there Seal and Save was Identical and  $20-$40  cheaper. Had it now and use it regularly for probably over 15 years.  Cost was about $120. If I was to buy one now I'd go with something more industrial but to old to invst in something I don't need. Buy what you can afford but don't count out the lower models. They all use basically the same bags.

I got a Food Saver model V3230 at walmart. Only $90 and it works great. Only had it about 6 mos, but so far no problems. After a Sams trip we process a lot of meat for the freezer, and after an offshore fishing trip(going again tomorrow ) :  ) we portion and seal the filets. Everything we've taken out of the freezer to cook looks as fresh as when it went in. Happy smokin', David.

Search here for vac master, and vac bags unlimited. I have had two food savers. My first one I bought over 30 years ago. It worked great until two years ago. We replaced it with the foodsaver that Costco has. It works, but if you're doing a bunch of packing the sealing element overheats and you have to let it cool down in order to continue. My next vac sealer will be a vac master.

I have had a FoodSaver GameSaver Deluxe for a couple of years.  Last night I only managed to package two packs of sausage and ten packs of pancetta before the over heating issue became such a pain I quit before I got to the bacon.  Granted I was doing double seals but that doesn't seem like a lot to me.

Bought a food saver off of craigs list for $50 five years ago, still going strong. A lot of folks buy them, then never use them and sell them for dirt cheap just to clear up some space.

I have a low end Food Saver.

About 5 years in, it is still going strong.

It will require a 20 to 30 second cool down time between bags if you are doing large batches.  But that is about the time it takes me to mark the finished bag and cut another off the roll.

Be certain to check with Lisa for rolls at half price. Cheaper and more versatile  than buying bags.  And the best customer service you could ask for!

Mine is a low end Food Saver. I don't use it all the time but when I cook up batches for the freezer, it does the job quite well.

We hunt and fish a lot. I use my cheapo Food Saver all the time and if you take your time between seals you'll be fine. I'm able to process several deer or antelope without any overheating issues.

One big thing, never use Cabelas brand bags. The slightest bit of moisture and they won't seal.

I've gone through three foodsavers, can't remember the models, but I just ordered another one to replace my second, which is the same as the gamesaver deluxe. I ordered the gamesaver deluxe to replace it with, since it has a 10 year warranty. I've only been getting around 5-6 with mine, so if it lasts ten, I'd be happy. If it doesn't, hopefully they stand by their warranty.

Was going to go for the titanium to get the lifetime warranty, but I decided my credit card has seen enough action so far.
