Utah gets Smoked out...its bad. Red air qulity

this happened yesterday real fast. I was out biking and about half way through the smoke got real thick and smelled like I was riding into a blaze, but is all from the west coast. News people are telling everyone to stay home, dont be outside at all. I get it but the prisoner feeling is rough. there should be a mountain view behind them mtns

Man that really sucks!
We get smoke from controlled burns of orange groves, where they take out the dead trees & burn them, and when I lived in S. Florida we would get smoke from the farmers burning sugarcane. But it was just a minor inconvenience compared to what is happening out west. Sure hope it gets better for you!

about the same here. we usually have mtn views from our house. now we have smoke views...

they are saying maybe by Monday or Tuesday it will improve... But Bryce is a over 250 PPM, healthy is like 10-15.

pretty much the same here...mostly not getting worse that yellow air quality...which is not good but not horrible. Now it red and the worst we have seen.

We had skies like that from the fires out west 2 weeks ago in pa, thankfully it only lasted 2 days before the winds changed.

You guys can at least smoke sausages by hanging them on the back porch. Lol That was my exact thought this morning when I fired up my smokehouse for the hotdogs and bacon this morning.

Holy Shat !!! That's really thick!!!
We're getting some all the way here in SE PA, but you don't really notice it as smoke.
Shame they can't redirect some of the "way too much rain" we get here, to the west coast to help out there!!!

Dang, the first photo looks like a smog cloud I would expect to see in India or Hong Kong not Utah. With the heat dome moving the Jet Stream north, it's not been too bad here in the CSRA of SC/GA. Only a couple of days of AQI above one hundred. The recent rain helped a lot. Yall be careful in that smoke. And watch out for your vehicles air filters getting clogged.

Holy cow! We've been getting the effects for the last couple of weeks, but never out of the orange. Yellow today.
From that map WaterinHole posted I don't think it's going away in a few days, especially with the heat coming back.
