Upgrade Gaming Console?

I use an XBOX controller on the PC. There is a usb adapter that connects it to the PC wirelessly.

I build my own systems and the gaming PC is higher end components. You can certainly get a pre-built one in that price range. What I would put my money on is the graphics card and the amount of memory. 32GB is enough for most games. Nvidia and AMD make the best graphics cards. It's like Ford Vs. Chevy. You don't need the highest end cards unless you want to play in 4K or higher. Most people are happy with 1080p resolution.

Now you have me re-thinking this. My pc is hooked to the TV. I guess you use a controller like a Xbox? I guess I will take a look a look at gaming pc but really would not want to spend much more than a $1000. Could go $1500 if I really need to. Looking at some videos on what to buy and my head is spinning. I really have no clue about these.

I am all about keyboard and mouse gaming but you can use a controller for sure. I'll poke around later this week to link you some systems

One of the benefits of setting up a new PC is all the LED options of the components. It may not be for everyone. My other two PCs are not as brightly lit up. This is my main PC and the gaming rig so I went all out. It can do a full rainbow of colors but I usually keep it in blue so it doesn't distract from playing games. It is still fun to look at none the less. This is with the front cover removed.

I have a PS3 and about every game worth playing. Also have Xbox One. I usually limit my purchase price for a game to $20 which means I buy most of them used or on sale. Most the Xbox games I been buying have been digital. Seems like most of the games on the newer console's are the same as the old ones? Since I not going to pay $60 for a game is there any reason to upgrade to PS5 or Xbox-X for those of you that have one?

bought a PS3 for the blue ray and audio I/O when they were new. bought Grand Turismo5 and some stupid mod racer game. played each about 3 times. Now the PS/3 is just another input on my 8 port living room internet hub. ran Cat cable from office head end thu attic to living room hub because i despise wifi almost as much as bluetooth, but both laptops(work and play are wifi in dining room much to wife's chagrin. at least I have gig speed for movies, FLAC audio and such. other than that I am no help. I can play a wicked Angry birds2 on my I pads tho'

I spent several hours looking yesterday. Keeping seeing Newegg a good place. I have most of the games on consoles I want and the pc would open up to a lot of new games. I am in no hurry. Back in the day I was pretty good with computers but they have passed me up.
