Update on Jalapeno oddities..

In July I posted pics of a jalapeno which started producing yellow peppers.
So now I have 4 plants going yellow but one is growing dual color peppers!

I can’t figure out how it’s seed came from the same single pepper I harvested last winter and whose seeds I sprouted last spring!?!
The yellow ones do taste good.

All the other peppers I sprouted out of that one donor came out green.

Most Jalapeno peppers start out green then mature to red if you let them sit on the plant long enough. Not sure about the yellow or dual color but it's pretty cool in my opinion.

To make things even a little crazier, two of the jalapeños that turned yellow, don’t have any red ones two of them have red and yellow.

Any chance you had some " Fresno influence " added to the Jalapeno ?
Fresno on the left . They start green , but stay yellow for a long time before going red .
More orange compared the the Jap .

I had one Fresno and one Jalapeno in pots . Growing next to each other .
The jalapeno started out " jumbo " like the green one on the right .
Then that plant started producing a pepper like the red Jalapeno in the middle .
Smaller pointed bottom , with a slight curve . These Jalapeno's came from the same plant .

Had a freeze warning last week , so I picked everything I had .

I let it ride on the counter and let the ones that were close rippen up .
This is after a week . Serano on the left bring a nice heat .
