So I thawed out some store bought kielbasa back in December. Pulled it out last Thursday and put it in the fridge. Forgot about it. Now a week later wondering if it’s still ok to cook. It’s in just a regular meat package not vacuum sealed. Might just toss it. What’s everyone think

If it’s cured, I’d cook it and enjoy. Unless it is slimy or smells sour. I hold my homemade kielbasa up to two weeks in the fridge. These are smoked.

As long as it looks and smells ok, eat it. Store bought sausages have an incredibly long shelf life.

Confusing because you say thawed in December ? Depending on the temp of your fridge and if it's just in a shrink wrap tray I'd say it's no good if it's been 2 months . Cured or not . Might not make you sick , but the quality might be off .

Im with you on that. If it was the store bought pre smoked in cryo I'd go for it. Shrink wrapped fresh I wouldn't but that's me

Sorry I meant I un thawed some that I friZe in December. But I opened up the package and decided to pitch it. May have been good may not have been. For $5 I didn’t want a houseful of people throwing up haha. Sloppy joes instead. Thanks for everyone’s input
