Has anyone had any luck yet? I had today scheduled off and was planning on a three day hunt, but we've had snow all week (new record accumulation last Sun. of 15 inches, and record cold Monday morning of -8 degrees) more snow and now rain predicted today and the weekend, so opted not to go. My area has terribly bad gumbo mud, and only two track roads, if I had gone, I might still be there come elk season. I'm getting pretty stir crazy with the cabin fever to be sure.

havent herd of a whole lot of luck here in Iowa, been wet and windy. i havet turkey hunted for a few years now, may start again soon.

Here in Michigan up in thumb I seen 3 birds taken. 1 went 24 lbs maybe a 6 inch beard, young fellow got 1 9 3/4 inch beard and his dad got one while we was standing around waiting for more beer and 2:30 in the afternoon and his went 10 inches. If they took anymore I am not sure I havent been out looking since Monday.

I went out but couldn't get any to walk into our blind. But since then everytime I go down my road they are everywhere. When your ready for them, they are not in range or visible. When you busy or unarmed they are everywhere. Once though this week I had a few mixed in with my cows and calves. Thats my luck, The one time I was armed, they were in range and identafiable and I didn't have a clean shot. I must be getting old.
