Turkey bacon/ turkey sausage

This may be taboo here, but, has anyone used turkey bacon and turkey sausage for a fatty?

Just wondering if it would work the same as I am trying to be on a "diet".

I've used turkey bacon. Actually doesn't taste bad, and the texture turns out more "bacon like" than if you fry it. Can't remember if I've used turkey sausage in a fatty but use turkey Italian sausage fairly frequently and like it a lot.
