Tri Tip smoke than sous vide how to?

I thought I saved a post where someone smoked the Tri Tip than put into sous vide but can't seem to find it. Found several that sous vide first. Looking for temps and time. Thanks!

I am thinking smoke on low smoke until about 120 than sous vide at 130 for 3 hours. Sound about right?

I did the opposite and it turned out amazing! most SV writes I have seen have the SV step first. I would be hard pressed not to keep that process.

Brian , I kinda remember that also but all I could find was this from hillbillyrkstr

Try smoking one up to about 120 and then put in the sv for half a day and sear to complete. Dynamite!

Did not get done yesterday. I met friends usually about 11 at brewery on Saturday. My buddy's pork butt was running couple hours late so was about 1 before we got there and time got home it was to late. Had I knew was going to be that long could of started. He has gone through 3 exchanges for WiFi kit for his Camp Chef and still not get it working. If he had that could just shut it down away from home! I smoke this morning and in the SV now.
