So the hot rod on my Traeger stays on all the time. Unless I unplug from the wall, its always on. Any remedies? I have emailed Traeger twice, and no response. Not sure whats up with that.

Emails are almost ALWAYS useless when something needs to be done today - and your situation sounds like it qualifies as 'I need to do this today' fix. You really need to call them. I would.

You should be able to unplug the hot rod. You can continue to use the grill until parts arrive. Prime the burn cup by auger or by hand and light with a torch. The grill should take over from there and hold temp...JJ

Is it still under warranty? It's probably a bad triac on the control board. If you know how to handle a soldering iron, you can probably repair it. Otherwise, a new controller is probably in order.

I have another control board, will change it out and see if it still does it.
I have my other Traeger to use meanwhile, just pissed they dont answer emails.
