Here I am, in the outskirts of NYC (Brooklyn) with absolutely no knowledge of smoking except what I see on the Food Network competitions (e.g. meat, charcoal and wood chips in big a** contraptions).
I love to eat BBQ and I've had good success with my pulled pork using the oven and a dutch oven pot. So I figured buy a smoker? Why not?
I must admit, that it's pretty intimidating to even figure out how smoking actually works. And other than a smoker, the other items I would need (e.g. coal, water pans, chips, accessories). But I look to gain much knowledge on these forums.
I don't have a smoker yet but was thinking about something relatively inexpensive and small, probably the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker 22.5
Thanks in advance for all the knowledge!
