My father in-law's funeral has been postponed now for a third time because of weather and that's possible because he's already been cremated, there's other BS involved here but that's another story. The sister in-law and her sons are coming up tomorrow anyway even though there's no funeral and not a damn thing to do since we just got 43" of snow.

This is where the timing comes in.My SIL and one son are coming in from Louisiana and the other from Tennessee and the flights arrive in Providence within a half hour of each other and you guessed it IT WILL BE SNOWING.And it gets better as one son has to leave Tues evening as he has to be at work Wed morning and you guessed it again IT WILL BE SNOWING and when the other two leave Wed morning you guessed right again IT WILL BE SNOWING.

Neither weather event is significant but just enough to make driving to the airport a s**t show especially with what we locals refer to as the "Broken Bridge". I am literally having one of those ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME!!! moments.

Wow Norm, that is a lot of snow. Hope you enjoy the visits with everyone and all travels are safe.

We are the opposite here, very little snow and above average temps. This coming Wednesday is supposed to be near 50* which is just unreal for us this time of year. I haven’t even had to plow snow this winter which is just mind blowing. There’s been years I’ve shoveled off the roof and didn’t need a ladder to get down.

After the blizzard the weather here has been excellent with bright sunshine mid 40's no wind, makes for great cleanup weather.Hell today will be the same but pushing 50 and then it's get cold and crappy. The wife and I tried our hardest in a very nice way to say now's probably not a good time but alas I will be driving to the airport in my little Corolla as the Tacoma is a club cab with no back seat.

I feel bad for all you guys out East. You've had more than your share of Winter this year.
But, 52° and sunny here. Just pulled a batch of chili off the smoker.

Sorry about the FIL 's funeral being delayed.

But you would think the family would wait, love it when you can't hint enough to perswade them .

Is there a way they could take airport taxi's and keep you off the roads, but I hear you. I would probably go and pick up also.

Could've been worse. All's well that ends well.
