Doing a bunch of RV travel while I am still able and miss my dang smoker. Thinking of a pellet pooper as I have seen quite a few lately. Ninja (not really a smoker, but..) , pitboss, traeger, etc.

Something I could get dual use of to also use as an outdoor oven.

Appreciate any well reasoned comments :emoji_laughing:, lol

Heck yea, I’ve never used one but I’d imagine they run kinda hot and fast but absolutely useful. I think @MileHighSmokerGirl has been running one and seems to like it ok.

Check out the Grilla Chimp 2.0 tailgater.
Big enough to do 2 large steaks, 4 pork chops, 6 burgers.
Has a top shelf. large enough to do sides in a foil pan.
Can bake if needed.
Has a Smoke mode. Probe included
Its on sale now : Grilla grills.
Shipped free, no sales tax.
The legs can be moved up and down. so easy to move
I got the Chimp 1.0 last summer .
Very happy with it !
BBQ LABS has video on it, on U Tube.
IMO: Small enought to be good for a small family and still do a decent cook !
Hope this helps!?

Don't have one to comment, personally.
I think @Quiganomics daughter got one to use.

Not only no but HELL NO.

I run an 18" Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker (charcoal and wood) and an Oklahoma Joe's offset (wood).

I'll never use a pellet smoker.

My apologies.

Bought the Pit Boss table top model and honestly, I rarely use it. The grill works great, no problems at all. I think it's lack of use has something to do with that damn extension cord. But really, for an RV it would be the hot ticket.

I need to revamp my space allotment, most of these look the size of the old costco traeger 22”?

Ummm ok , wow I run an 84D Lang, A 270 Smokers charcoal cabinet, a Smokin Tex electric and a Weber Kettle AND I'm considering a pellet grill for quicker cooks when I have little time. They all serve a purpose. Relative to OP question I used to have an original Traegar Tailgater and it had terrible temp swings. I'm sure things have improved since then. I can see a,portable being very useful

I have the portable GMG (Davy Crocket version) and it is a nice little smoker/Grill. It is 70lbs with pellets so pretty much a 2 person lift.

I am considering getting this one to try as it's a bit more compact than the GMG (also had it 10+ years now so its getting time), ie same footprint as the pit boss, Traeger, z-grill, ie all the briefcase grills, the exception is this has a domed lid so you can cook a small turkey if you wanted.

Would love to hear any reports on this one if anyone has one?
