Is in rough shape but think it’s good steel and will make a good working knife.
Anyone got any of these?

It's almost as rusty as your tape measure .Anyone got any of these?
I had my wet weather tapes . Just have to keep the oiled up when you put them back in the back , and save for a rainy day !Eaaaasy on that tape measure
You are a monster for removing the patina….. very nice job, looks like there is a lifetime of use in an attractive knife. Did it sharpen well?View attachment 732031
Cleaned up pretty good and put a fresh edge on her and she’s back in action!
I had six Old Hickory knifes from the 1940s and 50s, a 4'' to 6'' paring blade, a 10'' chefs blade, an 8'' boning/scimitar blade, and one that looked exactly like your blade and a 16'' breaking / scimitar blade, and a 12 to 14'' cleaver that we name the executer, for how many chickens, ducks, and rabbits it killed throughout the yrs. LOL!!!I recently found this old knife in my brothers things that I believe grandmother used when I was a kid. Gonna clean it up a little bit leave the nice patina in tact. View attachment 732080
