This forum has been great. I’ve learned so much. This really is a community of like minded friends. We all love good bbq and want to gain and share a little knowledge!
 
One thing i have noticed is that we have a community of people from all walks of life and from around the world who share a hobby and are willing to put aside all life differences to share knowledge, good times, and the love of BBQ with each other in an open and honest forum.
In meeting several members in person at gatherings and the like i have met many people who just love good food and love to eat that are so different than me but we all can come together around a smoker and have a good time.
This Forum does rock and lets keep it going!

Agree with the sentiments above. I have only been a member for a short time but I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head I keep progressing from an empty freezer, to a full freezer of raw meat, to a full freezer of smoked items.

Well you sound like the rest of us, I usually fill the freezer with raw meat when it goes on sale, then in the winter I do most of my smoking, replacing the raw with smoked. Then in the summer during hurricane season we try to empty the freezer, so we can start the whole process over again.

I wholeheartedly agree. Fairly new to actual smoking, I am sometimes overwhelmed at the support and ideas here. Fairly recently seperated, I have also learned that I just plain love to cook. Aside from the BBQ/smoking ideas, so much else to learn as well. Great community here. Thanks
 
I've been a member for 4 years and I am still amazed by the level of the discourse. Moderators do a good job, but without knowledgeable, yet humble, high quality folks this would not be what it is.

I am not member of many internet communities but this has gotta be the only one who can take apart culinary best sellers and prove renowned authors/chefs wrong.

Now if the IT folks just fixed the boucing page...
