Think I found a nice little side hustle.

Morning folks!
A few months ago I decided to see if I could start a little side venture making cutting boards and cook top covers. I've sold 6 boards so far. I think I found a good price point for one that is 1 1/4x12x16 for 60.00.

And I enjoy making them! I'm saving the profits for my next smoking venture....

Good on you. I have the equipment to make them but not the energy to do the work myself to make them. Retired and lazy these days.

Beautiful Steve!
I started my side venture 40 years ago when I had to get my lawn mower repaired. Yikes! Decided that I can do this, took classes at the local community college, and have been repairing small engines at a fair price ever since.

Very nice Steve! Always cool to turn something you like to do into cash.

Glad to see you're working your way up the ladder of self enablement! :emoji_blush:
Great looking board as well!

Ryan

Looks good . I don't sell much stuff . Unless someone asks . I have a bank account that I put that money in if I do . I keep a running total of what I have in the project too .
You're set up pretty good now . That makes it more enjoyable .

Really cool and it looks like you really do nice work. I have tried to figure out various side hustles in the past but normally come back to different problems. Biggest is lack of free time these days, I am trying to spend more family time than I used to and at what point does an enjoyable hobby turn into work and loose it's luster. Still hoping someday I will trip into something

It is a nice looking board......

I agree with the comment about free time.

I am a wood turner and spent years selling pens. It paid for most of the tools in the shop, albeit a lot of used power equipment from auctions.

Selling pens was fine until I started getting production jobs from an insurance company for 16 pens at a time. After a couple of orders of making the same pen, using the same kit, and the same wood, I decided I wasn't cut out for production turning. My hats off to those who are.

I'm retired and more of a tinkerer these days.

Keep up the work. It does help provide some mad money.

NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING A LITTLE EXTRA SOMETHING COMING IN WHEN IT'S TIME TO FUEL-UP THE RV. I'M STILL USING THE CUTTING BOARD I MADE IN HIGH SCHOOL SHOP CLASS ALMOST SIXTY YEARS BACK, YOURS LOOK A LOT NICER, NICE WORK STEVE! RAY
