I just placed my order for a thermopop since my old Weber therm took a poop... I was considering the thermapen..but for 70 dollars less I can wait 1 second !Originally it was a 4-5 second thermometer.. they have upgraded it to 3-4 seconds! That's 1 second slower then the thermapen! It has a back light rotating display ...almost all the same features except 1 second slower! ...I think the best part is you save 7o bucks but still have the same great company that will back their products! I'll post a full review when it arrives..

I bought 2 of the ThermoPops, one for me specifically to take the temp of ribs because the probe needle is so small it slides right in between the bones & gives an accurate reading. The other one went to Judy, my wife for the kitchen. She loves it! Great therms at a great price!!

They are a top rated thermometer.. it will be my first good thermometer but I'm sure I'll be getting an mk4 this summer to go with it ... I think the biggest benefit to the mk4 over the classic is its waterproof.. I always forget my thermometers outside ..lol I get to excited when I'm bringing the food in
