I have a TempSpikeXR (dual wireless) as well as a TP-19H. The TP-19H is a handhand probe.

My TempSpike has been a bit wonky - +/- 15 degrees of the TP-19H. I've used it the last two times as an 'estimator' and checked by hand. It's ambient read seems low and it's meat temp has been very high. Weird.

I called ThermoPro on Friday and explained my problem - hoping for a hidden calibration menu or something.

They asked my name and address and little else (they looked me up in the computer). A replacement is on the way in 3-5 business days.

Can't ask for better customer service than that.

I asked if they wanted the old one back; they told me to keep it as a backup. Not sure what good a backup that's in the same zip code as the actual temperature is used for, but it's one less bit of cross shipping I'll need to do.

Couldn't be happier with a 5 minute phone call.

I've had the same experience with them.
Called about a fix for a loose probe in a handheld. Had a new one arrive in 2 days.

I'm hoping for the same. I have the instant read and it's reading high, low, sometime on target. Tested in Ice and it was close, boiling water not close, tested it against my digital probes and not close. My digital probe model was dead on in boiling water so I trust it. I need to be able to trust the instant read though as that's what I use to confirm the digital probe when I get toward the end. Waiting to see what they tell me. I wanted the ThermaPen but my wife bought this one for my birthday one year. I may just bite the bullet and get the ThermaPen.

UPDATE: They are sending a replacement. Love the service, but I would much prefer to just have a device that works and not need to rely on a replacement. Hopefully it was just a glitch and the new one will perform well.
