SO, I boiled some water in a pot and all I have to do is insert the stem part way right???

I didn't reach 200 with the water at a rapid boil on either Therm... what am I suppose to be reading??? Am I doing it right???

AND, the screw on the back doesn't turn, it says 'RESET' and I thought it was for adjustments???

Anyone know how these work??... got them from the KCK.COM site

My thinking is the stems didn't go deep enough to read . But I am taking a wild a$$ guess .

You should read around 212 degrees depending on where you live. Try it again and put it in further just to make sure. I thought there were adjustments on those as well but I don't have one so I don't have any experience.

I've got two just like that and when I tested them they were spot on! Retest them and if still not satisfied, contact your seller and see what he will do for you.

OK... I turned hard enough to figure out how to set them.... I'm gona try to submerge them more in the water and if they don't reach 212 I can adjust... (wasn't using a big enough screw driver before...LOL)

He sait RETEST not RESET. haha That screw must to something or why would it be there any say reset??? Does the screw move? If so watch the needle on the front when you turn it and see which way it moves.

YES, SORRY, LOL... I fixed my post, I found out how to adjust the needle so I will now RETEST them...LOL

Getting old, gona need glasses to read the puter someday soon I can tell...

YUP, had to do a MINOR adjustment to them BOTH, but I got them dead nuts on now!!!!

Backup tested with my Maveric ET-7, BOTH Probes were right on...

THNX AGAIN GUYS!!!!!
